What is geo-fencing and how does Augmento use it?
Geo-fencing creates a virtual boundary around a physical location using GPS coordinates. When a user enters this boundary, they can unlock exclusive AR content tied to that place. Augmento uses geo-fencing to create location-gated experiences: for example, fans at a concert venue can access exclusive AR content that's unavailable anywhere else. You can also set up multiple geo-fenced zones within a single campaign, each with its own content, unlock conditions, and time windows. A music festival could run different AR experiences at each stage, exclusive content in VIP areas, sponsor activations at specific booths, and a treasure hunt spanning the entire venue. This drives physical attendance and creates scarcity that increases perceived value.
