Effective date: 7 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Augmento FZCO ('Augmento', 'we', 'us', or 'our') collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use our augmented reality experiences, websites, and related services (together, the 'Services'), including when you sign in using Facebook Login.
Augmento is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Data we collect
Information from Facebook Login. When you choose to sign in with Facebook, Meta shares a limited set of information with us based on the permissions you approve. This typically includes your name, email address, profile picture, and your Facebook user ID. We only receive the fields you consent to share, and you can review or adjust these permissions in your Facebook settings at any time.
Information you provide. This includes any details you enter when creating an account, saving or personalizing an AR experience, entering a campaign, or contacting us for support.
Information collected automatically. When you use the Services, we may collect device and usage data such as device type, operating system, browser, IP address, general location derived from IP address, pages viewed, and interactions with AR content. This helps us operate, secure, and improve the Services.
2. How we use your data
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you through Facebook Login.
- To deliver, personalize, and improve our AR experiences and other Services.
- To save your content, preferences, and progress.
- To respond to your requests and provide customer support.
- To send you service related messages and, where you have opted in, updates about our Services.
- To measure engagement, analyze performance, and develop new features.
- To protect the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal bases for processing
Where the laws of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or similar frameworks apply, we process personal data on the basis of your consent, the performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Services, and compliance with legal obligations. You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. How we share your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers. Trusted vendors that host our infrastructure, store data, provide analytics, or support customer communications, acting on our instructions.
- Meta. When you use Facebook Login, your use of that feature is also subject to Meta's own data policy.
- Legal and safety. Where required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Augmento, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
5. Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. When you request deletion, or when the data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it, except where we must retain limited information to meet legal, accounting, or security obligations.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, update, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to request a copy of your data in a portable format.
You can request access to or deletion of your data at any time. See our data request and deletion page for step by step instructions, or email us at privacy@augmento.com. You can also remove Augmento's access from your Facebook settings under Apps and Websites.
7. Data security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International transfers
We operate globally, and your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United Arab Emirates and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for such transfers.
9. Children
The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, or the minimum age required in your country, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
